About the Role

Building on Anthem’s early and rapid success within an exciting market, you will be responsible for the revenue growth of the business from EMEA markets with a focus on attracting new clients, upselling and continuing existing accounts, and increasing monthly recurring contracts that deliver to our customer’s expectations.

The role owns the commercial sales plan, as well as proposition development and the sales narrative. Whilst primarily focused on working with clients, the role also acts as an important bridge between the Product and Data functions internally, ensuring alignment and client-driven deliveries and solution developments.

You will lead the refinement and evolution of Anthem’s commercial strategy, creating and executing go-to-market plans that accelerate customer recruitment, and customer enablement with ongoing improvements in sales execution and measurement of key commercial activities as we scale.

You will manage, grow, and coach the sales team, which spans both new and existing customer sales. With a focus on achieving defined targets, key activities, and customer actions, developing and growing the team should be a critical part of your success.

The role requires both strategic thinking and first-hand delivery – whilst you will be targeted to generate your own sales, you will also be incentivised and expected to provide strong leadership to the commercial team, plus communicate customer and sales plan to engage the broader organisation.

You will have experience in a combination of commercial roles involving the licensing of technology and business development, ideally within the gambling sector. A high degree of organisational agility, strong relationship-building, and well-developed influencing skills will also be essential in this role.

The global gambling industry combines technology, entertainment, risk, regulation, eCommerce, finance, and social interaction. Data runs throughout. Therefore, you should have an affinity with data and data-driven products that are innovative and use the latest technology to improve customer experiences. Given the broad nature of the industry, travel to customer locations and international events will be required).

 What You’ll Do 

  • Maximise all revenue-generating processes and execution for the company.

  • Lead and execute sales strategy for Future Anthem from the initial lead through the entire customer lifecycle to maximise revenue, including managing and signing your client deal opportunities.

  • Manage a sales team that can drive business growth across all customer segments and profiles and share accountability with the marketing function for improving the individual customer experience and strategy

  • Working with the Marketing team to drive top-of-the-funnel and client lead generation

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with our clients with high levels of customer engagement and product usage

  • Work with product leaders to provide customer-driven feedback and direction to build products that meet customer needs.

  • Ensure performance, strategy, and alignment of Future Anthem’s revenue-generating teams

  • Crunch the numbers and share data to drive decisions throughout the organisation.

  • Manage the revenue pipeline and leads, adjusting as necessary to grow.

  • Monitor the marketplace and analyse opportunities, providing competitive analysis, strategies, and tactics

  • To stay well-connected with customers to ensure broad market needs are being incorporated into the product development and enhancement cycle: attending industry events and acting as an ambassador for Future Anthem

  • Collaborate with wider teams - finance, product management, and marketing - on messaging, pricing strategies, and business models to achieve revenue goals

  • Owning all contract negotiations from end to end

  • Implement and maintain sales processes designed to achieve specific sales objectives, including negotiating contracts and protecting company position, navigating procurement processes and customer due diligence

About You 

Have proven commercial experience in a senior role within the gaming sector

  • Proven record of success with the entire sales process, from planning to closing

  • Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt styles for a variety of technical and non-technical audiences, 

  • Superb leadership ability

  • Ability to travel at least 20% of the time

  • Proven track record of growing and developing teams 

  • Be able to build and develop credibility and strong working relationships

  • Be comfortable working through problems and can demonstrate the ability to change and adapt as our ‘scale-up’ grows

  • Be a proactive self-starter and able to work either as part of a team or independently to meet deadlines
